the material
RE:PET® is our recycled polyester fabric. It is made from PET bottles collected through GOT BAG Indonesia's clean-up program and other local organizations certified for Ocean Bound Plastic. The collected PET is processed by our recycling partner in Indonesia. In our commitment to creating a positive impact, we transform discarded plastic into our RE:PET fabric, which we use in most of our products.

The GOT BAG Indonesia foundation runs a clean-up program that collects coastal plastic waste from coastal households and environments, rivers, and the ocean.

The PET portion is separated, cleaned, and shredded into flakes before being processed into pellets.

The pellets are blended with certified Ocean Bound Plastic from our recycling partner and spun into yarn.

The recycled yarn is woven into RE:PET – our polyester fabric, which is used as the main material for many GOT BAG products, like the MOON BAG SMALL.
