THE MATERIAL
RE:PET®
RE:PET is our recycled polyester fabric. It is made from PET bottles collected through GOT BAG Indonesia's clean-up programme and other local organisations certified for Ocean Bound Plastic. The collected PET is processed by our recycling partner in Indonesia. In our commitment to making a positive impact, we turn discarded plastic into our RE:PET fabric, which we use in most of our products. Want to know more? The GOT BAG Indonesia foundation runs a clean-up program that collects coastal plastic waste from coastal households and environments, rivers, and the ocean.

The PET portion is separated, cleaned, and shredded into flakes before being processed into pellets.

The pellets are blended with certified Ocean Bound Plastic from our recycling partner and spun into yarn.

The recycled yarn is woven into RE:PET – our polyester fabric, which is used as the main material for many GOT BAG products, like the MOON BAG SMALL.
